With unwavering dedication and over 25 years of experience serving my community, Geri is the Executive Director of Heart and Home Transitional Housing Shelter. Her journey has been fueled by a commitment to providing safe, dignified, and supportive environments for the most vulnerable individuals in the community.

Under her leadership, we will not only offer shelter but also a new beginning for individuals. Her vision extends to advocating for systemic change and increased awareness, ensuring that every person has the opportunity to live free from violence and fear. Outside of her professional life, she finds solace in supporting members of her community through volunteerism, nature walks, and day trips to explore other local communities and cultures.

Betty brings 25 years of experience providing consumer-centered service excellence including 8+ years working specifically with marginalized populations experiencing violence, homelessness, substance use, and mental health crisis. 

As the Programs and Services Director for Heart and Home Transitional Housing, Betty is dedicated to integrating our vision and values and creating an impact in our community by providing operational and service excellence to our participants, stakeholders, and community. 

Her multifaceted background includes Frontline Service Delivery and Community Outreach and Support. Betty has worked directly with survivors of gender-based violence in the shelter environment, providing trauma-informed support and care. She has also connected with street-involved folks, providing referrals, basic necessities, harm reduction supplies and information, accompaniment, and counselling support. 

Ana has 18 years of experience in the social services field working with diverse populations, and 9 years of experience leading staff teams who work in high-paced, high-demand environments. Ana has a passion for and a commitment to helping create communities of healthy individuals who can access services that are provided in a seamless and timely manner. 

Over the last 9 years, in various leadership positions, she has provided effective leadership and mentorship to diverse staff teams of frontline workers. Her experience includes working front-line as well as with staff teams who are supporting clients with complex needs, including survivors of gender-based violence, folks involved with the justice system, and clients who have experienced trauma, substance use dependencies, mental health challenges, homelessness, unemployment, poverty, and other challenges.
